Abstract :Surface finishing processes such as drilling, turning, reaming, grinding, honing and roller burnishing etc. are widely used in manufacturing as hole surface finishing process. In addition to the characteristics of hole such as the surface roughness, the surface hardness and the wear resistance, the circularity and cylindricality of hole are also effective on the performance of hole. In this paper, it is presented that different hole surface finishing processes were applied to the samples made of pure copper. As a result of all the measurements and assessments, the results of the study show that the roller burnishing method gives the best results in terms of mechanical, metallurgical properties and hole surface quality of the material. Keywords : Copper, hole machining processes, microstructure, surface roughness, roller burnishing method
