Abstract :This paper proposes Switched coupled inductor (SCL) based quasi-Z- Source cascaded multilevel inverter (qZS-CMI), (SCL qZS-CMI) using nearest level modulation (NLM) technique in this paper. The proposed inverter introduces appealing advantages over conventional qZS-CMI such as lower component voltage stress, improved output power quality and efficiency. Both simulation and experimental verification have been carried out for SCL qZS-CMI with a power rating of 250W to validate the above claims.Keywords : Switched Coupled Inductor, Inductor quasi Z-Source, Cascaded Multilevel, Inverter, Nearest level modulation
