Abstract :In this case report, we aimed to present the clinical course of a 53-year-old male patient who was admitted to the emergency department with a complaint of swelling and pain in the abdomen for 3 days and who was diagnosed with sigmoid volvulus. These pathologies, which we rarely encounter in the colonic dysmotiliter and advanced age population, appeared at an earlier age due to the comorbid diseases of our patient. Surgical and endoscopic detorsion options and indications will be explained in the direct management of the patient with typical sigmoid volvulus image. Keywords : sigmoid volvulus, ileus, sedentary life, constipation
