Online gaming and smartphone addictions in children and adolescents with primary headaches: A prospective case-control study

Abstract :Aim: There is a few studies examining primary headaches and online gaming or smartphone addiction in line with causality. Material and Method: Children and adolescents, aged 11-18 years old, those diagnosed with primary headaches of tension-type headache or migrain were evaluated in terms of smartphone and online game addiction. Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV) and Online Game Addiction Scale (OGAS) was used. SPSS 17.0 program was used for statistical analyses. Results: Children and adolescents with or without primary headaches had similar online game and smart phone usage pattern.
