Abstract :Practices related to the burying of buildings in the Neolithic Period are one of the debate topics that have maintained their validity since the 1960s. There are many examples of buildings being buried in the Near East and Anatolia. Just as these examples can be residential or special buildings, they can be considered on the basis of building and settlement. Burying buildings is a phenomenon that can be traced from the early phase of the Neolithic Period to the end, whereas it is a matter of practices that varied between settlements, as well as their common features. Here, the buried structures recently revealed at the Karahantepe are emphasized. It is understood that all of the unearthed buildings in the settlement were defined as "special buildings” in that they were deliberately filled. Said structures will be introduced and the AB structure, the excavation of which has been completed, will be elaborated upon in this article. Keywords : Karahantepe, Pre-Pottery Neolithic, Neolithic architecture, Special Structures, Buried Buildings
