Abstract :In this study, entransy, which is relatively new thermodynamic parameter, was investigated for irreversible Brayton cycle. Entransy dissipation is the destruction occurring heat transfer potential. Entransy analysis was conducted numerically and results were compared with the work output, exergy output, energy and exergy efficiencies, entropy generation and the internal irreversibility parameter. Even if optimum values for other parameters are determined, it is seen that entransy dissipation rate is very high. Work output decreases with irreversibilities and its value ranges from 339.41 (kW) to 222.36 (kW). Similarly, entransy dissipation decreases with irreversibilities and its value is reduced from 740795 (kWK) to 606382 (kWK).Keywords : Entransy transfer, entransy dissipation, thermodynamic parameters, irreversibility, entropy generation, brayton cycle
