Abstract :In this study, we will briefly try to describe what material information carriers were like in each period of the development of human society, what the advantages or disadvantages of these carriers were, and how society changed with the change of the material information carriers themselves. In conclusion, we will highlight an interesting fact of current development: the digitization of material information carriers, the separation of the information itself from its material carrier, and the risk that it will face in the future.Keywords :Data, Material information, Material information carriers, History
