Abstract :Small bowel obstruction is a rare complication of Meckel´s diverticulitis. Our purpose is to present a case of a 16-year-old boy with a 3 days history of abdominal pain, recurrent vomiting, and absence of stool discharge. He had appendectomy 3 years ago. Upon laparotomy, we observed small bowel obstruction due to an adhesion between the tip of the inflamed Meckel´s diverticulum and anterior abdominal wall. Although postoperative abdominal adhesions account for the most frequent cause of intestinal obstruction, Meckel´s diverticulitis should also be kept in mind. Keywords : Meckel´s diverticulitis, intestinal obstruction
